SweeTart Ropes combines the wonderful flavor of the original SweeTart candy with the flavorful Nerds candy treat. You get a sour filled cherry rope with Nerds inside, making for a delicious candy treat that your taste buds will not be able to resist once you lock eyes on the colorful package. In fact, it seems to be a marriage of convenience in the Wonka family of products. Both candies are in deed part of Will Wonka Candy products, which makes their union so deliciously wonderful! SweeTart Ropes consists of a red, chewy gummi tunnel filled with a blue liquid and rainbow Nerds candy. Each package contains two candy ropes, about seven inches long. The gummy rope of each SweeTarts Rope candy is a thick, cherry-flavored tube. The blue liquid inside each one is the consistency of paste. Classics Nerds candy are embedded in the blue paste.
Wonka SweeTarts Ropes consists of two chewy ropes of cherry licorice with a SweeTarts candy and crunchy Nerds filling, described as "a sweet and tart flavor explosion with tantalizing textures, tastes and colors." Both children and adults will go crazy over these delicious confections since they taste so wonderfully scrumptious. They sort also combine the popular candy treats Twizzlers. The tastes and textures are fantastic together. They will soon start to become your favorite candy treat and you will realize that you can never live with out some SweeTart Ropes candy!
Each package of Sweetarts Ropes contains two pieces of candy. Each licorice tube is about a quarter of an inch thick and the hollow cylinder just a tad larger. The tubes are about ten inches long, perhaps slightly less. The hollow portion is filled with a paste composed of the crushed sweetarts combined with just enough water or another clear liquid to make it hold together. A very light spattering of nerds candy are pushed into that mixture; each tube has perhaps three or four.
The tube of these Willy Wonka Sweetarts Ropes is fairly flexible and much chewier than its contents. The tube adds some cherry flavor and acts as a slight balance to the sweetness of the filling. It's not that the licorice isn't sweet, but rather that it's about three degrees less sweet than the rest of the candy . Thus, in comparison while you're biting through the entire thing at once, it seems not very sweet. Even more than the flavor, the tube adds a complementary texture. The chewy outside of Sweetarts Ropes gives way to the super sweet soft paste with the infrequent bite of crunch from the nerds.
