The Sweet Candy Company is one of the oldest companies in the world of candy making, with a history that dates all the way back to 1892. The company started its life in Portland, Oregon, where it made only a few varieties of candy. Even though the range was limited, however, the majority of the candy was made by hand, and all of its was much loved by the company's customers.

The company founded by Leon Sweet continued to grow in popularity, and in 1900 the operations were moved from Portland to its current home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout the years, Sweet's has continued to be an innovator in the world of candy making, and the company continues to automate its systems for a more cost effective, and higher quality, product.

The Sweet Candy Company has also continued to expand its line of product offerings, and today there are more than 250 items distributed by the company in bags, bulk packaging and boxes. Even though the company boasts many product offerings, however, it is best known for such classic favorites as salt water taffy, chocolate orange sticks and cinnamon bears.

The Sweet Candy Company continued its growth as the new century approached, and in 1999 the company built a state of the art manufacturing facility just south of Salt Lake City. This huge 180,000 square foot facility represents the company's continuing commitment to quality, and to its heritage. With this new state of the art manufacturing facility the Sweet Candy Company continues to make its fine line of products to please its fans throughout the country and around the world.
